LEONERO - THE MASCOT

Leonero, the mascot of Montepaschi Viadana. In the world of Italian Rugby there's a new star: Leonero, the mascot of Montepaschi Viadana. He made its debut at the beginning of the last season, with a sudden success on the pitch and off. Leonero is a 3D character, played by an actor, that cheers the team, entertains the supporters, takes pictures with childen and attends all the special events of Rugby Viadana and it's really loved also by the people of Viadana. Who is Leonero? He is a strong, little lion that never gives up and has no fears, it's ready to fight but also loves playing, he is used to winning. It's not like the childish cartoon heroes, soft and weak. His fur is the colour of a lion but the mane and the top of the tail are black: black and yellow are the colours of Montepaschi Viadana but it also explains its name ("nero" is the Italian for black) and really makes it special and unique between all the animal-characters Leonero also has his own official sponsor:, milk, a Sterilgarda Group brand, related to a healthy nutrition and lifestyle which rugby promotes. Our lion has a jingle, Leonero's theme, a funny, ‘catchy' song that everybody is already singing in town. Leonero has another mission: he visits schools to spread rugby and its values, that are the values that would drive the society: loyalty, bravery, responsibility, team spirit.                               Leonero is also a plush doll! Leonero is available in plush doll version, so soft, you couldn't help hugging it. You can buy your Leonero plush doll on line or in the Stadio Zaffanella's store and in Galleria Bedoli Sporting Stoop in the centre of Viadana.
